  Final book review

Twilight

By Stephanie Meyer

Twilight is about a girl who goes to live with her father and falls in love with a vampire, Edward. The book is wonderful its full of action, suspense, and drama. The book is fallowed by its sequel “New Moon” and that is fallowed by “Eclipse”.  Some of the book characters are Edward, Bella, Alice, Jacob, Mat, and Emmett. Her name is Bella Swan. Her parents got divorced when she was young and used to spend her summers with her dad. Before her and Edward are together she was on her way inside the school a van was going out of control and headed straight for her and Edward pulled her out of the way. He saves her life multiple times.

The part that touched me the most was when she was in the city with some friends and decided to stay in the city while the rest of her friends went for dinner. She was looking for a book store when she got lost and two strange men were following her and when she turned the corner there were two more. Im not going to tell you the details on what happened but Edward drove up and saved her and that’s when he told her what he was. I was touched the most by this part because in the descriptions of the book I could feel how scared she was and how she felt when Edward saved her.

The similarities between me and Bella Swan are that she is incredible clumsy and so am I, you can look at the holes in the knees of my pants for proof. Bella and I have very similar point of views and I can relate to her life very much.

This and the sequels of this book are my favorites. The sequels of  “Twilight” are “New Moon” and “Eclipse”. “Eclipse” is the last book so far and comes out in August.

The book I will read this summer is “Eclipse” when it comes out.

Appreciation

I appreciate every one in this school. there is no one person i appreciate more then the other. Everyone in this school is a very hard working and kind person. It would be hard to single on person out and say that i appreciate them with out saying it about all the rest of the people who teach us and take care of us with kind and loving hearts.

The still silent voice

The still silent voice

Sit quietly and listen
for the sigh of the wind
for the rustle of leaves
for the still silent voice.Sit quietly and listen
for the sound of a breath
for the beat of a heart
for the still silent voice.Sit quietly and listen
for the thunder of quiet
for the absence of time
for the still silent voice.

Sit quietly and listen
for the light of the world
for the moment of love
for the still silent voice.

Sit quietly and listen
to the still silent voice.

SONNET 146
Poor soul, the centre of my sinful earth,
[ ] these rebel powers that thee array;
Why dost thou pine within and suffer dearth,
Painting thy outward walls so costly gay?
Why so large cost, having so short a lease,
Dost thou upon thy fading mansion spend?
Shall worms, inheritors of this excess,
Eat up thy charge? is this thy body’s end?
Then soul, live thou upon thy servant’s loss,
And let that pine to aggravate thy store;
Buy terms divine in selling hours of dross;
Within be fed, without be rich no more:
So shalt thou feed on Death, that feeds on men,
And Death once dead, there’s no more dying then.

Baby Sitting

Baby sitting my brother and sister is fun but hard.

Their fun to play with but they drive me crazy.

They run around and never listen.

They rough house and never stop.

When its time for bed they don’t stop playing.

They yell and fight and sometimes break stuff.

There always hyper and they make a mess.

But sometimes they can be fun.

Running around playing tag.

Playing catch.

Hide and seek.

And they calm down when you put a good movie on.

After a while my parents get home and  I don’t have to deal with them anymore.

Then I get paid and ignore my little brother and sister for the rest of the night.

Mothers Day Poem

Soft

By Amanda Bennett

Soft, gentle, and hard working hands

Cooking, cleaning, and helping others most of the day

Always getting things done perfectly and on time

In jeans and a floral t-shirt

Remembering her brothers when she was a child

With a worn and tired face

Trying her hardest to make things right

And putting our needs in front of hers

The best part of her being her heart

And the way she loves me

Dedicated to my mother!

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Love,

Amanda
